Which Hypogean hero should you ascend first?

Knox is the highest Hypogean priority to ascend first. Lavatune is very strong on Cursed Realm and Nightmare Corridor. Harvey, Lucilla, and Serenmira can be useful, but they’re not very high priority heroes. Mehira is useful for Campaign, but she works great at lower ascensions (Elite or Mythic). Kalthin can be useful in late game Campaign to group up enemies. Khazard and Canisa & Ruke have been falling off from the meta, but they can be useful in some situations. Khazard only needs Mythic ascension. Zolrath, Mortas, and Ezizh can be ascended via Challenger Store, but Mortas works fine at Elite ascension and he is a niche hero. Zolrath needs to be ascended because he needs his level 3 furniture to work properly. Ezizh can work at Elite ascension to generate energy to your allies in Hypogean tower. Awakened Ezizh does his job pretty well at Legendary ascension. But he is not essential, so you don’t need to worry about spending cards to get one copy of him. Framton, Olgath, Lucretia, Mezoth, Vyloris, Zikis, and Leofric are not worth it.
