If you want to ascend your Heroes, Temple of Ascension is the place want to go.

This building is where you are able to upgrade your Heroes to the higher tiers by sacrificing some required Heroes.

To progress further in the game, ascending your Heroes is inevitable.

The Temple of Ascension first show up in Ranhorn after you complete the Chapter 1 of the AFK Campaign.

What is Ascension?

Ascension is the process of upgrading your Heroes’ tier, stats and level cap.

In order to ascend a Hero in your account, you have to sacrifice some of your Heroes.

Each faction has its own unique costs. Each tier has its own costs as well.

After ascending, all of the resources and gears spent on the sacrificed heroes will be transferred to your bag.

The hero you chose first, or the first hero on the menu Ascension, is the one that will get ascended. The next Heroes you choose will be sacrificed.

Special Factions

There are 2 special factions in AFK Arena: Celestials Celestials and Celestials Hypogeans

These special factions require less heroes to sacrifices and have a simpler upgrade progress. However, ascending Heroes in these two Factions does require a lot of resources as it does require a lot more copies of the same Hero.

[…] You can retire/destroy the common tier Heroes in AFK Arena using this feature. The only way to retire higher tier Heroes is to fodder them at the Temple of Ascension. […]

Man, at the stage I’m at it is getting extremely painful. 72 rares to get a single Legendary+ to use as fodder to get one of my Legendary+s up to Mythic. If it weren’t for the last event where I got 40 light bearer and 40 wilder rares to use as fodder I would have given up hope.

I think there is a mistake in the Special Faction Chart as it starts at Rare+ for some odd reason and not Epic > E+ > Legend > L+ > Mythic > M+ > Ascended (14 Copies total of the same Hero, the error seems to imply it takes 16 copies total). I think it may be easier to follow if you switched it to From in the first column and To in the second. For example From Epic, To Epic+, Cost An Elite copy of the same Hero. Also does going beyond Ascended cost an E+ of the same… Read more »
