AFK Arena Beasts Guide – Talismane

Hi everyone, along with the AFK Arena v1.106 update, a new “Beast” Talismane has been added to the gaming sequence. Adventurers can unlock “Beasts” by clearing Stage 10-40, which will enable them to send beasts to battle alongside heroes.

“Beasts” are basically AFK Arena’s very own battle pets feature. They can level up the attributes of heroes in their teams, use their exclusive skills, but cannot be affected by skills such as Attack, Control, or Buff. The “Capture” feature can be unlocked by clearing Stage 14-40, which enables adventurers to capture beasts using “Baits”.

These will all be covered in the sections below.

Beasts Grounds

Where can you find these majestic creatures and tame one for yourself? Well you’ve come to the right spot. You will be able to lure AFK Arena beasts from the Beast Grounds located in Ranhorn City as indicated in the following picture.

afk arena pc download

Once you enter the Beasts ground for the first time, you will be greeted by Rosaline. In the Beast ground, you will be able to do several things to better improve in the game. You will be able to keep track of the different beasts that you’re trying to lure, check out their abilities, and overall get a sense of how they can help you in battle.

Rule of Beasts

After reaching Chapter 11, players unlock the Beast Grounds and can use pets during battles. After reaching Chapter 15, players unlock the Capture feature, which enables them to acquire pets with Baits.

Each beast has its own exclusive skills which are divided into 3 levels. Each level is unlocked once players reach [Beast Level] 6, 12, and 18 respectively. This will be covered more in the “Types of Beasts” section.

Players can increase their [Beast Level] by leveling up their beast’s [Attribute Buffs]. Each beast has three types of [Attribute Buffs], namely Strength, Intelligence and Agility, which can boost the attributes of corresponding heroes in the team.

To upgrade its [Attribute Buffs], a beast must consume others of their own kind as materials. The higher the level of its Attribute Buffs, the more materials it needs to consume. For a beast’s first [Attribute Buff] upgrade, no consumption of materials is required. After reaching Lvl 18, a beast needs to level up all three of its Attribute Buffs to Lvl 6 in order to continue leveling up.

5. Players can earn [Baits] in the game to acquire beasts. “Baits” can be acquired through features such as AFK Rewards, Arcane Labyrinth, the Store, quests, Treasure Scramble, and Temporal Rift. To ensure a balanced game experience, beasts cannot be deployed in the current Abyssal Expedition.

Lure Beasts

Players can acquire a random beast by using [Baits]. Any Elite beast received by a player will be the beast named in their wishlist. When acquiring a beast, a player has a certain chance of acquiring [Spice Materials] as shown below.

afk arena pc download

Every 300 [Spice Materials] will be automatically synthesized into [Secret Spices]. Players can use [Secret Spices] to acquire a designated Elite beast.

If a player owns enough beasts to level them up to the max level, any additional beast acquired will be automatically converted into [Spice Materials].

Beasts in Battle

Upon entering the battlefield, the beasts don’t actually join you in the physical terrain, well not most of them don’t. You can select which beast to use during your battle at the top left corner of the battle screen as shown in the image below.

Once you click that button, you will be given a choice of beasts to add to use throughout your battle. Your choice of beasts will of course be limited at first, but will increase in number as you lure and acquire more beast. This will also be the case in terms of their help in battle to you.

Once you’ve selected your beast, you will be able to engage them in battle. While in battle, beasts will have a cooldown feature, and once the bar is fully loaded, you will be able to activate the beasts’ ability by clicking on it.

As previously mentioned, it’s still unclear how much we’ll actually see beasts in action, but some of them do pop into the battlefield. For example, Dreary Ball does have a moment of action when his ability is activated which is quite cool.

Beasts Upgrade

Below are visual depictions of what it takes to upgrade your beasts from level one to their maximum upgrade level. The first one depicts the upgrade cost it takes to max out a rare beast. The second one depicts the upgrade cost needed to max out an elite beast.

Native to the polar ranges, Polar Beasts have only ever been sighted by a lucky few. Many have only seen their mysterious footprints in the snow at the foothills. According to legend, Polar Beasts have dense hair, a mouth full of razor-sharp teeth, and a mean temper to boot. But they are in fact gentle and mellow creatures, and would only shred a stranger to pieces who is obviously hostile or invades their territory. They do not attack unprovoked, as long as
you keep a fair distance from them. You can tell their age by the patterns and colors of the two horns on their heads.

Healing Bloom

[Unlock at LvI 0] Bellbellow heals all allies for an amount equaling 240% of its Attack Rating and generates a Trail of Life in the area most concentrated with allied heroes for 8 seconds. Healing received by all allies on the Trail of Life is increased by 10. When an allied hero is healed by another hero, Bellbellow gains extra beast energy points.

[Unlock at Lvl 6] Passive. At regular intervals, Bellbellow runs to the allied hero with the lowest health percentage, reducing the damage received by the hero in the next 4 seconds by 60%, and restoring their health by 15% of their max health without exceeding 15% of Bellbellow’s own max health. It also generates a Trail of Life for 8 seconds. This skill prioritizes allied heroes who have not been on a Trail of Life.

[Unlock at LvI 12] Any excess healing Bellbellow grants to allies on a Trail of Life will be stored by that Trail. Said Trail of Life will heal allies in its range for 20% of their lost health every 0.5 seconds, until it disappears or is exhausted.

[Unlock at LvI 18] When Bellbellow unleashes Healing Bloom, all Trails of Life will be enhanced. For every 1 allied heroes on the enhanced Trails of Life, the damage received and dealt by all allied heroes will be reduced by 8% and increased by 10% respectively.

Basic Training

[Unlock at Lvl 3] When an allied hero is healed by another hero, Bellbelow will also heal the allied hero.

Team-wide Attribute Buff: HP: 5.04%, DEF: 6.22%, ATK: 2.64%

Intermediate Training

[Unlock at Lvl 9] Bellbellow increases healing and shields value received by allies on a Trail of Life.

Team-wide Attribute Buff: HP: 5.8%, DEF: 7.16%, ATK: 3.04%

Advanced Training

[Unlock at Lvl 18] When Bellbelow heals an ally, it grants a life shield to the ally, which negates damage up to a certain percentage of its Attack Rating. If the ally suffers from an effect that prevents healing or receives excess healing, the shield’s duration is extended, and it can withstand a certain amount of additional damage.

Team-wide Attribute Buff: HP: 6.05%, DEF: 7.47%, ATK: 3.17%

The Bellbelow is a unique beast nurtured by endless force of life. They are named so because of their endearing sound that resembles that of a fawn calling in the midst of a forest. Distinct from other beasts skilled at slaughter, they have countless blessings coursing through their awakened veins. These holy blessings swirl around their antlers and grow pristine white flowers. Bellbelows can deliver blessings to allies in distress and cure them of their pain and bring them protection. Whenever they walk gently over a patch of arid land, they leave behind a trail of life and growth. These wondrous beasts run freely with the wind across fields and forests, and will dash immediately to any ally in need on a battlefield.

An avian creature from the Hunting Fields, the Flutterplume Owl has a pair of powerful wings that can sustain long flights. It is a superb scout that is highly sensitive to its surroundings and extremely territorial. After sensing that its territory has been invaded, an incensed Flutterplume owl will create a time zone over the battlefield, which alters the passage of time in the area and grants an advantage to its allies.

By naure, the Flutterplume Owl is nocturnal and hides away in the forest during the day. However, after being tamed and trained as a beast, it will adjust its circadian rhythm to adapt to its partner and assist them from the air in battle.

It is friendly and dependable to those it deems as a partner. It allows allies into its territory, and will even perch and rest on the shoulders or particularly-trusted friends. When a Flutterplume Owl is happy, it flaps its wings and hoots, which many consider to be a beautiful sound.

A Blessed Year

[Unlock at LvI 0] At the start of the battle, Talismane moves with the allied hero positioned frontmost in the formation, and increases the hero’s Dodge and Magic Suppression. When using this skill, Talismane leaps into the area most concentrated with enemies and throws off firecrackers to deal beast damage to surrounding enemies and significantly reduce their Accuracy and Magic Efficiency. When the hero it follows inflicts or suffers damage, Talismane receives additional beast energy.

[Unlock at LvI 6] After using this skill, Talismane will drop firecrackers along the way as it returns with its followed hero, dealing beast damage to enemies and blinding them.

[Unlock at Lvl 12] Every 10 seconds, Talismane grants the hero it follows a Longevity Lock. When the hero receives a single round of damage that exceeds a portion of their max health or suffers fatal damage, the Longevity Lock will offset the damage and expire.

[Unlock at Lvi 18] Talismane also grants a Longevity Lock to the allied hero, other than the hero it follows, who has dealt the highest total damage. Damage received by the hero with a Longevity Lock is reduced and damage they deal is increased. If any additional target is to be granted Longevity Locks, priority will be given to allied heroes who have not possessed a Longevity Lock.

Basic Training

[Unlock at Lvl 3] The first time the hero it follows uses their Ultimate, Talismane will immediately use its skill “A Blessed Year” 1 time, without consuming any beast energy.

Team-wide Attribute Buff: HP: 3.73%, ATK: 3.28%, DEF: 7.41%

Intermediate Training

[Unlock at Lvl 9] The damage caused by Talismane’s firecrackers is increased further while Hypogean and Graveborn heroes are additionally terrified for 3 seconds

Team-wide Attribute Buff: HP: 4.28%, DEF: 8.52%, ATK: 3.77%

Advanced Training

[Unlock at Lvl 18] For the duration of a Longevity Lock, the Dodge and Magic Suppression received by the hero followed by Talismane will increase to 3 times their original value.

Team-wide Attribute Buff: HP: 4.47%, DEF: 8.89%, ATK: 3.94%

A magical creature from an exotic dimension, Talismane is said to hail from the same mysterious country as Burning Brute and possesses an innate power to fight evil. In the land where it is from, it is the nemesis of all vengeful gods and a guardian of all creatures.

Every time its partners encounter mortal danger, it protects them with a Longevity Lock from around its neck. When facing vicious enemies, it wields its power to defeat them without mercy, so that they shall never do harm again.

Talismane may look docile earnest, but it can also transform into a formidable warrior. After descending onto Esperia, it became well aware of its responsibilities, which are to ward off evil and protect the realm from harm. In the presence of Talismane, all danger and evil shall be revealed.
