Hi everyone, along with the AFK Arena v1.126 update, a new “Beast” Radish Rotunda has been added to the gaming sequence. Adventurers can unlock “Beasts” by clearing Stage 10-40, which will enable them to send beasts to battle alongside heroes.
“Beasts” are basically AFK Arena’s very own battle pets feature. They can level up the attributes of heroes in their teams, use their exclusive skills, but cannot be affected by skills such as Attack, Control, or Buff. The “Capture” feature can be unlocked by clearing Stage 14-40, which enables adventurers to capture beasts using “Baits”.
These will all be covered in the sections below.
Beasts Grounds
Where can you find these majestic creatures and tame one for yourself? Well you’ve come to the right spot. You will be able to lure AFK Arena beasts from the Beast Grounds located in Ranhorn City as indicated in the following picture.
Once you enter the Beasts ground for the first time, you will be greeted by Rosaline. In the Beast ground, you will be able to do several things to better improve in the game. You will be able to keep track of the different beasts that you’re trying to lure, check out their abilities, and overall get a sense of how they can help you in battle.
Rule of Beasts
After reaching Chapter 11, players unlock the Beast Grounds and can use pets during battles. After reaching Chapter 15, players unlock the Capture feature, which enables them to acquire pets with Baits.
Each beast has its own exclusive skills which are divided into 3 levels. Each level is unlocked once players reach [Beast Level] 6, 12, and 18 respectively. This will be covered more in the “Types of Beasts” section.
Players can increase their [Beast Level] by leveling up their beast’s [Attribute Buffs]. Each beast has three types of [Attribute Buffs], namely Strength, Intelligence and Agility, which can boost the attributes of corresponding heroes in the team.
To upgrade its [Attribute Buffs], a beast must consume others of their own kind as materials. The higher the level of its Attribute Buffs, the more materials it needs to consume. For a beast’s first [Attribute Buff] upgrade, no consumption of materials is required. After reaching Lvl 18, a beast needs to level up all three of its Attribute Buffs to Lvl 6 in order to continue leveling up.
5. Players can earn [Baits] in the game to acquire beasts. “Baits” can be acquired through features such as AFK Rewards, Arcane Labyrinth, the Store, quests, Treasure Scramble, and Temporal Rift. To ensure a balanced game experience, beasts cannot be deployed in the current Abyssal Expedition.
Lure Beasts
Players can acquire a random beast by using [Baits]. Any Elite beast received by a player will be the beast named in their wishlist. When acquiring a beast, a player has a certain chance of acquiring [Spice Materials] as shown below.
Every 300 [Spice Materials] will be automatically synthesized into [Secret Spices]. Players can use [Secret Spices] to acquire a designated Elite beast.
If a player owns enough beasts to level them up to the max level, any additional beast acquired will be automatically converted into [Spice Materials].
Beasts in Battle
Upon entering the battlefield, the beasts don’t actually join you in the physical terrain, well not most of them don’t. You can select which beast to use during your battle at the top left corner of the battle screen as shown in the image below.
Once you click that button, you will be given a choice of beasts to add to use throughout your battle. Your choice of beasts will of course be limited at first, but will increase in number as you lure and acquire more beast. This will also be the case in terms of their help in battle to you.
Once you’ve selected your beast, you will be able to engage them in battle. While in battle, beasts will have a cooldown feature, and once the bar is fully loaded, you will be able to activate the beasts’ ability by clicking on it.
As previously mentioned, it’s still unclear how much we’ll actually see beasts in action, but some of them do pop into the battlefield. For example, Dreary Ball does have a moment of action when his ability is activated which is quite cool.
Beasts Upgrade
Below are visual depictions of what it takes to upgrade your beasts from level one to their maximum upgrade level. The first one depicts the upgrade cost it takes to max out a rare beast. The second one depicts the upgrade cost needed to max out an elite beast.

According to legend, Polar Beasts have dense hair, a mouth full of razor-sharp teeth, and a mean temper to boot. But they are in fact gentle and mellow creatures, and would only shred a stranger to pieces who is obviously hostile or invades their territory. They do not attack unprovoked, as long as

Healing Bloom
[Unlock at LvI 0] Bellbellow heals all allies for an amount equaling 240% of its Attack Rating and generates a Trail of Life in the area most concentrated with allied heroes for 8 seconds. Healing received by all allies on the Trail of Life is increased by 10. When an allied hero is healed by another hero, Bellbellow gains extra beast energy points.
[Unlock at Lvl 6] Passive. At regular intervals, Bellbellow runs to the allied hero with the lowest health percentage, reducing the damage received by the hero in the next 4 seconds by 60%, and restoring their health by 15% of their max health without exceeding 15% of Bellbellow’s own max health. It also generates a Trail of Life for 8 seconds. This skill prioritizes allied heroes who have not been on a Trail of Life.
[Unlock at LvI 12] Any excess healing Bellbellow grants to allies on a Trail of Life will be stored by that Trail. Said Trail of Life will heal allies in its range for 20% of their lost health every 0.5 seconds, until it disappears or is exhausted.
[Unlock at LvI 18] When Bellbellow unleashes Healing Bloom, all Trails of Life will be enhanced. For every 1 allied heroes on the enhanced Trails of Life, the damage received and dealt by all allied heroes will be reduced by 8% and increased by 10% respectively.

The Bellbelow is a unique beast nurtured by endless force of life. They are named so because of their endearing sound that resembles that of a fawn calling in the midst of a forest. Distinct from other beasts skilled at slaughter, they have countless blessings coursing through their awakened veins. These holy blessings swirl around their antlers and grow pristine white flowers. Bellbelows can deliver blessings to allies in distress and cure them of their pain and bring them protection. Whenever they walk gently over a patch of arid land, they leave behind a trail of life and growth. These wondrous beasts run freely with the wind across fields and forests, and will dash immediately to any ally in need on a battlefield.

A Blessed Year
[Unlock at LvI 0] At the start of the battle, Talismane moves with the allied hero positioned frontmost in the formation, and increases the hero’s Dodge and Magic Suppression. Their giant membranous wings are colorless and transparent, but the shimmering scales on them reflect light and produce a beautiful spectrum. These scales have a hallucinatory effect which, even in small dose, can slow the most ferocious predators. Phantasmoths rely on these shimmering scales to disguise themselves, fight enemies, mark territory, and even for courtship.

Slumber Seals are marine beasts that sleep all year long and like drifting to different waters on the back of sea waves. They take naturally to marine environments and can spawn aquatic spirits unconsciously in their sleep.
Because of their round body, they look docile and gentle, and are seen as an adorable mascot by the fisherfolk. However, they are not completely without temper. Wh threatened or provoked, they will not hesitate to show their fierce and fearless side. They are also able to summon waves to subdue and defeat enemies.
Slumber Seals are often underestimated for their round and plump appearance. Perhaps, the creatures themselves are also pondering how they could create a more imposing presence.

With its coquettish pink fur, Fox Fatales look meek and dainty, and is a highly coveted creature. However, they can easily sway the will of mortals, causing great torment and anguish to any hunter coming to capture them.
Therefore, legend has it that the petal marks between their brows are an imprint of Mehira – Mind Cager. But an experienced beast master would know that Fox Fatales are not evil creatures, but rather highly intelligent beasts.
With their profound wisdom, they can gain insights into people’s hearts, but that also makes them challenging to tame. Some even believe that the Fox Fatales are impossible to train, and that all training is merely to allow them to choose their trusted comrade.
Nonetheless, once they have established good rapport, the hero can then freely pet the Fox Fatale’s three fluffy tails. It is said that the nice sensation makes up for all the setbacks in training.

The Shroom Spooder is averse to light and dwells in the gaps of rocks. It leaves its nest nightfall, wandering amid dark, damp hedges and crouching atop poisonous mushrooms, while enjoying the deadly scents in the air.
Its body is covered in fluffy hair, with poisonous glands on its hard pincers that secrete endocrine fluids producing toxic, hallucinogenic mists. With its small size, the Shroom Spooder can easily dodge the vision of larger predators, while its swift movements allow it to hunt quickly.
Legend has it that the poisonous mists of Shroom Spooders can bring ill-gotten fortune to unscrupulous merchants.
Nonetheless, these creatures will not let these hunters have their way. They will punish these uninvited guests with a “baptism” of their poisonous mists, subjecting their victims to the most horrendous nightmares.

[Unlock at Lvl 0] Radish Rotunda breaks out of the soil next to the weakest allied hero. It wiggles its body, turning the battlefield weather into a Sunny Sky and restoring the target hero’s health by 20% of their max health , up to 25% of Radish Rotunda’s max health, while increasing the target hero’s Crit Damage Resistance by 35 for 8 seconds. Any excess healing given to a target hero is converted into an Arbor Shield that lasts for 8 seconds.
[Unlock at Lvl 12] The target hero also receivesa 30% Attack and Defense Ratings buff, which reduces to zero in 8 seconds. This effect cannot stack.

At any one time, the number of Mini Radishes on the battlefield does not exceed 5 or the number of surviving allied heroes. When an allied hero dies, any excess Mini Radish will be removed.

Radish Rotunda always appears where it is least expected. Wherever there is warm soil and sunlight, that’s where this lush spirit may be.
Radish Rotunda breaks out of soil ona sunny day. It loathes the rain as it dampens and weighs down its leaves. However, it would also collect pristine raindrops and turn them into dew to help it thrive.
Radish Rotunda is gentle and kind. Whenever someone is in danger, it will emerge from the nearest soil and cheer them on. Its encouragement is warm and strong, able to empower the recipient to turn any adversity around.
Of course, Radish Rotunda also has its angry moments-do not call it a “big, white radish”, or you will suffer its wrathful knock.
Oh yes, there’s one more thing: It is not edible.
